Hong Kong Jewellery (HKJM) is the flagship journal of the Hong Kong Jewellery & Jade Manufacturers Association (HKJJA) published by subsidiary Hong Kong Jewellery Magazine Ltd (Publisher) since 1978. The English-Chinese bilingual quarterly has gained its reputation in providing global readers with intriguing stories, enlightening interviews and inspirational trend forecasts for over four decades.
Those were the days when the feature-based bilingual quarterly was among the first to be sold out at the world’s most significant trade events despite its volume. The pervasiveness of the internet and rapid evolution of technologies has reshaped readers’ behaviour and preferences. HKJM, as one of the longest-standing trade magazines for the jewellery industry in the region, has adapted to the times and turned digital with the new focus on breaking news, designer interviews and design trends that inspire. The March 2020 edition (issue #160) came as the last HKJM in print.
Apart from keeping our fellow readers abreast of industry news and trends via this website and social media, the Publisher would launch trade show supplements for HKJJA twice a year, in a bid to help its member exhibitors explore business opportunities overseas while promoting Hong Kong designs. The biannual supplement will feature international exhibitions or events incorporating interviews with local and Hong Kong practitioners.
