Christie’s New York held its first spring magnificent jewel auction on 16 April 2014, highlighting the Collection of Riki and Jerome Shaw which included a six-carat fancy intense pink diamond ring by Harry Winston. Achieved a total of over US$8 million (approximately HK$66 million), the Collection dedicated all proceeds to animal welfare. The auction’s top lot, a pair of circular-cut D-colour IF diamonds of 22.60 and 22.31 carats, was sold for over US$8 million (approximately HK$67 million). Jewels of Kathleen Field including a 20.10-carat rectangular D-colour VVS1 diamond by Harry Winston and a rectangular Colombian emerald and diamond brooch were sold for over US$6 million (approximately HK$47 million).
