Dalloz Group, selling under the brand ECLATS, is a business integrated group specialized in manufacturing and marketing cubic zirconia, synthetic gemstones, semi-precious gemstones and marcasite by applying a combination of Swiss, French and German machines to achieve the best result in terms of cutting, precision and polishing. Currently, the group is steadily growing in the markets in Europe, the United States and India with plans to explore Southeast Asian markets including Vietnam and Indonesia.
With continuous expansion and investment in technology and research, the group now is fully equipped with automatic machines. Managing director, Sebastien Champagne told Hong Kong Jewellery that regarding the technology, the group has been investing in colour sorting machines. “We have been able to select stones according to geometric properties for years and the next step is the colour selection,” said Champagne.
Bought in 1990 by Dalloz Group, Durafourg Company was known as one of the major suppliers for machine-cut marcasite and synthetic gemstones. “For some markets, we have kept the brand name Durafourg for marcasite as the brand is well known and carries an image of quality,” said Champagne.
In terms of the marcasite market, Champagne explained: “Globally, the marcasite market potential has not been fully explored. Meanwhile, marcasite is still under-used, partly because of the lack of interest from designers and manufacturers. It is our job to change that and raise people’s awareness of the quality of marcasite.”
“Supply is not a problem for us as we have found a reliable source for the material,” he added.
