Prior to the AGM held in Mumbai on 13 April, Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) has announced the restructuring of the management team. The role of executive director (ED) will be introduced in place of a CEO. “This is in line with the practice elsewhere in many non-profit organisations,” said RJC.
Catherine Sproule, RJC’s long serving COO, will work with the ED to provide continuity to RJC’s global structure.
The new management structure will also include a standard director as RJC re-builds its standards team from recent turnover. According to the organisation, the successful implementation of the revised Code of Practices (COP) has allowed RJC to focus on increasing its membership both through the supply chain and by geography.
