Tiancheng International’s jewellery and jadeite autumn sale held on 4 December 2016 realised over HK$100 million (US$13 million), with all white jade ornaments and jewels sold. The top lot was the 42.42-carat natural unheated Burmese Mogok Cornflower Blue sapphire necklace by Cartier (photo) sold for HK$20.4 million. Another focus, Butterfly titanium brooch set with sapphires and diamonds by Thai brand Nisan, fetched HK$288,000 with 25 bids. Kat Florence’s blue zircon and diamond ring sold for HK$204,000 reflects strong market demand for exquisite jewellery, said Tiancheng. Another highlight, a fei cui bangle of enchanting translucency and vivid colour, was sold for HK$282,000.
