The 21st International Jewellery Kobe (IJK 2017), the largest jewellery show in western Japan, will be held from 17 to 19 May at Kobe International Exhibition Hall. According to the show management Reed Exhibitions Japan Ltd, a total of 600 companies from 14 countries and regions and 13,000 buyers from around the globe are expected to fill up the fairground. Overseas exhibitors are mainly from Italy, the United States, India, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland China.
IJK 2017, held in the city of pearls, provides buyers with a timely opportunity for seasonal sourcing in summer time, the organiser said. The show consists of eight special zones for jewellery, pearls, gemstones, precious gemstones, designers & craftsmen, jewellery-related products, fashion jewellery and second-hand jewellery.
A wide spectrum of exhibits are available at the fair including: fabulous 18- to 24-karat gold and platinum jewellery from renowned Japanese brands; magnificent pearls including South Sea pearls, akoya pearls, freshwater pearls, mabe pearls, conch pearls and keshi pearls; white and fancy-coloured diamonds in all sizes at reasonable prices; precious and semi-precious stones, fei cui and gem-quality coral done by exquisite craftsmanship.
