The Tiancheng International jewellery and fei cui spring sale was held on 4 June 2017. Seventeen-percent of lots were sold above estimate, while a 100-percent sell-through rate was achieved for opals and important timepieces from famous brands, said the auction house. The top lot went to a 22.22-carat natural untreated Colombia Muzo emerald ring from David Morris (photo) which was sold for HK$32.4 million (US$4.2 million), followed by a fei cui and diamond necklace and a ‘laughing Buddha’ fei cui and diamond pendant which respectively fetched HK$9.96 million and HK$6.12 million.
