Christie’s New York magnificent jewels auction held on 6 December 2017 fetched a total of US$62,592,750. Eighty-eight percent of the lots were sold, 85 percent by value.
The sale was led by a twin-stone fancy vivid blue diamond ring of approximately 3.36 and 2.71 carats from Graff achieved US$12,575,500. Other highlights included a selected of signed and modern jewellery by legendary jewellery houses such as a Harry Winston diamond cluster wreath necklace sold for US$1,812,500, a pair of multi-gem ‘Flower’ ear pendants by JAR sold for US$1,212,500, etc. A ring set with a 38.91-carat D VS type IIa diamond was sold for US$3,642,500 and a Kashmir sapphire and diamond ring realised US$1,722,500.
