Dubbed the world’s largest B2B fine jewellery event, September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair will be staging its 36th edition at the AsiaWorld Expo (AWE) from 12-16 September and the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) during 14-18 of the month.
Featuring nearly 3,700 exhibitors from 57 countries and regions, the show covers a total exhibition area of over 135,000 m2 where exhibits are grouped by product category: precious materials including diamonds, gemstones and pearls are shown at AWE, while finished jewellery, packaging, tools and equipment will be exhibited at HKCEC, according to organiser UBM Asia.
Around 15 theme pavilions with different focuses are among the highlights of the September fair. The ‘Fine Gem Pavilion’ located at AWE is home to over 50 prominent loose gems suppliers who will be introducing an all-encompassing selection of quality loose diamonds, coloured gemstones and pearls.
Most of the theme pavilions can be found at HKCEC. ‘The Fine Design Pavilion’, for instance, will house more than 70 celebrated jewellery brands from around the globe offering jewellery set with diamonds, gemstones and pearls, together with jewellery watches, antique and vintage jewellery and one-of-a-kind pieces.
Since last year, the ‘Core Pavilion’ features fine finished jewellery companies that have supported UBM’s jewellery fairs in Hong Kong in the past years. They consider Hong Kong as the platform from which they grow their businesses.
The ‘International Premier Pavilion’ features the latest avant-garde designs from nearly 50 world-renowned jewellery suppliers.
Other pavilions include Hong Kong Pavilion, Designer Arena, Fei Cui Gallery, International Fine Jewellery, Antique & Vintage Jewellery, Asian Fine Jewellery, Silver Jewellery, Bridal Jewellery Pavilion, Jewellery Accessories, Pearl Jewellery & Finished Jewellery and Packaging, Tools & Equipment.
The September fair is also studded with an interesting schedule of special events including a pearl auction, a diamond preview, seminars, conferences and networking occasions.
