This year, the September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair is scheduled for 16-22 of the month, providing global industry practitioners with a hub for inspiration, creativity and opportunities.
The show will start at the AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) where raw materials including diamonds, loose gemstones and pearls are offered till 20 September. Finished jewellery, packaging, tools and equipment will be shown at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from 18 to 22 September.
Over 3,700 exhibitors from 54 countries and regions will occupy more than 135,000 square metres of exhibition space in the two venues. It is expected to draw in over 54,000 visitors from around the globe, according to show organiser Informa Markets.
“Bringing the whole world of jewellery together in one show, the September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair is a must-attend event for industry stakeholders, decision-makers and influencers. The seven-day fair offers a quality sourcing platform that connects buyers with international suppliers of diamonds, coloured gemstones, pearls, finished jewellery, jewellery technologies, packaging solutions, and tools and equipment. Alongside its clearly defined product sectorisation programme, the September Fair offers networking events and informative seminars that can help facilitate genuine business connections and collaborations among show attendees,” the organiser said.
Themed pavilions are designed to enhance buyers’ sourcing experience. Fine Design Pavilion, for instance, is where exquisite designs, antique and estate jewellery from over 70 famed suppliers in the world are on display.
Now entering the third year, the Core Pavilion will highlight nearly 60 Hong Kong-based jewellery companies that have earned global recognition for innovative designs and superb craftsmanship. Over 40 world-class jewellery brands will feature their latest collections of magnificent jewellery to the International Premier Pavilion. Premium-quality diamonds, coloured gemstones and pearls from more than 70 renowned jewelers and dealers will be highlighted at the Fine Gem Pavilion.
To cater to the changing needs of the industry, the September fair will launch two brand new pavilions. Located at Mezzanine 2 of HKCEC, the Technology Pavilion will feature a tech pod where exhibitors present a wide array of industry-related applications, software programmes and tools that can help manufacturers, designers and retailers grow their businesses.
Located at Hall 1 of AWE, the Lab-Grown Diamond Pavilion is dedicated to loose synthetic diamonds providing buyers with more possibilities in jewellery making.
In a bid to protect the rights and interests of exhibitors and buyers, the ‘Declaration Programme on Diamond Exhibits’ programme will be launched at the fair to acknowledge that diamond exhibitors at AWE who have declared that they only supply and exhibit diamonds in line with ‘Trade Description (Definition of Diamond) Regulations’ and in accordance with Hong Kong Law during the fair, will display an official poster issued by the show organiser. The programme is supported by the Diamond Federation of Hong Kong, Antwerp World Diamond Centre, Israel Diamond Institute and the Hong Kong Indian Diamond Association.
