Coronet, a jewellery brand of Hong Kong-based Aaron Shum Jewelry Limited, announced its just-added entry on its list of Guinness world records – the most diamonds set on a watch – at a press event on 22 March during the Baselworld 2019.
The ninth Guinness record goes to the 18-karat ‘Mudan’ (meaning ‘peony’ in English) watch set with 15,858 diamonds with the dial painted by award-winning artist and designer Reena Ahluwalia.
According to Coronet, the new watch is inspired by peony which symbolises nobility, honour and wealth. (Model photo courtesy: Baselworld 2019)
