Rio Grande has selected winners for its 19th annual Saul Bell Design Award Competition across nine categories and a Best of Show among hundreds entries around the world. Two different panels of judges judge entries in two rounds this year. Melbournian Debbie Sheezel turned the judgers’ head and took home the Best of Show by her Lineal Alchemy necklace (photo 1). She was inspired by tribal patterns from various cultures. The piece took her 11 months from scratch. Here are some of the finalists and winning pieces.
