The second annual Zimbabwe Diamond Conference, organized by the Ministry of Mines and Mining Development of the Republic of Zimbabwe, will be held between 6 and 7 November 2014 in Harare, capital of Zimbabwe.
According to the latest official press release, Eli Izhakoff, honorary president of the World Diamond Council (WDC), the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) and the World Jewellery Confederation (CIBJO); Ernie Blom, president of WFDB; and Gaetano Cavalieri, president of CIBJO have confirmed to be the keynote speakers.
Dignitaries from leading African diamond producing countries and delegates from the world’s leading diamond traders, manufacturers, financiers and jewellers will also participate in the conference.
Eli Izhakoff said: “I look forward to participating in this high-profile event. Zimbabwe is a significant diamond producing country and can evolve into an important trading center which will benefit all its citizens.”
Moderated by Chaim Even-Zohar, diamond industry analyst and president of Tacy Ltd, the conference will address the topic of completing Zimbabwe’s diamond potential for the future.
