Zenith launches the El Primero A384 Revival watch to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its famed El Primero chronograph.
The homage watch is almost a reproduction of the debuted model back in 1969, except for replacing acrylic glass with sapphire crystal and applying a transparent case back for a view of the movement (photo 2) instead of a solid steel closed version with Zenith’s star logo on it (photo 3). Housed inside is the brand’s renowned, El Primero movement, which powered Rolex’s Daytona in the late ’80s. It will be available at US$7,600 and released in an unlimited edition.
Zenith offered a trio of watches paying tribute to the same movement at Baseworld in March available in white gold, rose gold, and yellow gold, limited to 50 pieces were all sold out.
