Danish jewellery brand byBiehl works with Eden Proect to plant a mangrove tree in the jungles of Madagascar and Indonesia for every sold Jungle Ivy collection jewellery and will keep the policy of growing 1,000 more mangroves for every 500 times the hashtag #bybiehlgivesbacktonature has been used.
The brand helps to plant mangrove trees as they obtain up to five times more carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases than tropical trees. “As a company, I believe we are obligated to think about nature, and at byBiehl we want to help making a difference. Since the first time I designed jewellery for byBiehl, my mind has always been on the joy of life and beauty. But to live well, we must take care of the planet,” said the brand’s founder Charlotte Biehl.
The Jungle Ivy collection sold out within a month in Denmark and the brand is now planting the first 20,000 mangrove trees. A lot of positive feedback, especially on their social media channels, were received. Necklaces and bracelets, as well as new designs, will be out in September, which hopefully more mangrove trees will be planted.
