The 36th Hong Kong Watch & Clock Design Competition announced winners yesterday at the press conference held at Harbour City, Tsimshatsui.
Co-organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association Ltd and the Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades & Industries Ltd, the competition aims to enhance the design and quality of Hong Kong-made watches and clocks.
A total of 130 entries from the open group and the student group were received. Winners were awarded on stage. Their designs will be on display at Hall 1B of Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre during the 38th Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair from 3 to 7 September 2019. (Photo courtesy: HKTDC)

Student group – themed ‘Abstract Wonder’
Champion: Ukiyo-e, by Wong Sze Wa from Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI)
1st runner-up: Dream Adventure, by Cheung Sau Ki from HKDI
2nd runnier-up: Reversed World, by Hattie Chan from Technological & Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi)
Merit award: Fantasia, by Yiu Sau Ling from THEi
Merit award: White Shadow, by Kwan Chung Yan from THEi
Merit award: Reflection, by Chan Wai Chi from THEi
