The Diamond Terminology Guideline is now available in Arabic, the tenth language, thanks to the translation of Dubai Multi Commodities Center (DMCC). The reference document provides a universal standard description of diamonds and lab grown diamonds, ensuring unity in diamond terminology across Arabic-speaking countries.
Gold, diamond and jewellery trade show no signs of slowing down in the Middle East. In the first half of 2019, the value of trade in Dubai reached a yoy rise of three percent to AED 180 billion. The diamond trade in Arabic-speaking nations is both dynamic and growing.
Ahmed Bin Sulayem CEO of DMCC said: “The issuance of the document in Arabic is a positive and comprehensive step for the diamond sector, especially given the growth and prosperity of the Arabic speaking countries.”
