Bulgari has confirmed it will not participate the upcoming Baselworld that will be taken place from 30 April to 5 May, a week after Gucci’s withdrawal announcement, becoming the third big brands to put out from this year’s show.
Bulgari did not state the reasons behind. The brand CEO Jean-Christophe Babin commented: “It does not mean that Bvlgari is definitely leaving Baselworld and [the] decision for 2021 and beyond will be made by the end of June. As said in the past, the main criteria to continue participating to watch fairs will be the timing as well as the costs which today are not consistent with commercial requirements and returns of investments.”
Meanwhile, its sister brands in LVMH’s watch division namely, Hublot, TAG Heuer and Zenith remain committed to the fair.
