British jewellery brand Theo Fennell hosted an auction on its website to hammer five one-of-a-kind pieces from 6-13 April with 15 percent of the highest bid on each piece proceeds go to Kensington and Chelsea Foundation’s Covid-19 Appeal.
The lots included an emerald ring, 4.48 carats chrysoberyl and diamond ring, amethyst and peridot cuff bangle, red garnet and freshwater pearl drop earrings and OMG Pop Art pendant. The highest winning bid went to the chrysoberyl and diamond ring, which fetched US$20,094.
“While this dreadful virus is doing its worst here in the middle of London, extraordinary people are doing wonderful things. One of these is the Kensington & Chelsea Foundation. It is looking after people who really need it and, as Chelsea has been our company’s home for 40 years,” said Fennell in a statement.
All fund raised will support elderly people with essential supplies over the isolation period, local partners who are adapting and creating services for children, young people and vulnerable residents.
