Over 10,000 people enrolled in more than 25,000 introductory online Gemological Institute of America (GIA) Essentials courses including Jewelry Essentials, Colored Stone Essentials and Diamond Essentials, reaping benefits from the Institute’s free class offers amid virus outbreak. The annual number of enrollments are three times than usual.
May and June cost-free offers have reached their full capacity.GIA has stopped accepting applications and enrollments for those courses. “This incredible response demonstrates the broad interest in GIA education and credentials,” said GIA senior vice president of education and chief academic officer Duncan Pay. Courses starting in July and after are available at the regular tuition of US$250 each.
This limited time deal does not require any prior experience or gemological equipment. Students may earn the GIA Applied Jewelry Professional (AJP) diploma after completing all three courses.
