Sotheby’s New York important jewel sale held on 23 September 2014 fetched a total of US$16,081,065 (approximately HK$125 million).
The top lot, sold for US$1,505,000, went to a pair of diamond pendant-earrings topped by two round diamonds weighing 3.00 carats each, suspending two pear-shaped diamonds weighing 6.31 and 6.29 carats. It comes with three interchangeable jackets by David Webb. A platinum ring set with a 9.13-carat marquise-shaped diamond and a platinum, 18-karat gold ring set with a 20.18-carat fancy intense yellow diamond were sold for US$965.000 and US$635.000 respectively.
