The Hong Kong Living Influencer Awards recognise the most influential individuals from the art and design, health and wellness, dining and charity industries in the city. A major theme for the 2020 edition is the ability to adjust and adapt and embrace the power of teamwork amidst an environment with disruptive changes. Among the 50 awardees for this year, two are renowned jewellery designers - Tayma Page Allies and Austy Lee.
Founder and designer of Tayma Fine Jewellery, Tayma Page Allies is a winner of the ‘entrepreneur’ category. Started her humble jewellery business in 1991 in Lan Kwai Fong, she then secured an enviable presence at Landmark Prince’s thanks to for her stunning collections of rare natural gemstones and one-of-a-kind design. After 16 years at the upscale mall, she has returned to her LKF atelier. Looking forward to her brand’s 30th anniversary next year, she will expand her online shop and social media, while enlightening her followers with her experience and knowledge in gemstones by giving lectures.
An awardee of the ‘art and design’ category, jewellery designer Austy Lee launched his brand Austy Lee Art Jewellery in 2017. Renowned for edgy, bold, religious and colourful design, Lee often amazes customers with his extraordinary approaches to maximising the beauty of the vivid shades of gold and the psychedelic colours of gemstones. His stunning creations are available at his Sheung Wan boutique. He enjoys sharing his inspiration, knowledge and experiences in design and merchandising with the younger generations, encouraging them to think out of the box. In 2017, he was invited to lecture at the Hong Kong Baptist University on jewellery design.
