Yoram Dvash, who has been president of Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) for the past five years, announced that he will not run for a third two-year term in the end-of-year election.
The 56-year-old will concentrate on his leadership position at the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB). He was elected the president of WFDB during the digital World Diamond Congress (WDC) in September after the role of acting president in April.
“For the past five years I have been given the privilege of working for the members of the Israel Diamond Exchange during one of the most challenging, and important periods in the industry. I thank the IDE Board and its members for the trust they have placed in me and for allowing me to initiate, create and lead. I will be here to assist the next president and board as much as is necessary,” he said.
