Yoram Dvash, president of Israel Diamond Institute (IDI) for the past five years, has elected today for another three-year term, despite Dvash announced he would not run for the position last month.
“I have received hundreds of requests from industry members to take on the role of IDI Chairman, and I felt I could not refuse. Although I had decided to take a longer break from a public role in the Israeli diamond industry, serving this industry is in my blood,” Yoram said on his Twitter.
Dvash planned to focus on his president position at the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB), which was officially elected at the September 2020 digital World Diamond Congress.
