Loupe, a jewellery designer incubation project launched by Chow Tai Fook Jewellery, will be co-hosting a “toothsome” exhibition of jade carving with the Hong Kong Jade Association (HKJA) next week in Hong Kong.
The creative jade carving and metalsmith design exhibition called “The Feast of Jade” will commence next Friday at Loupe. Featured exhibits include innovative jade carving pieces by HKJA president Law Chi Kwong and jade-inspired metalsmith designs by Loupe’s designers-in-residence.
Divergent from traditional jade carving subjects such as Guanyin, Buddha, peapod, ruyi or leaf, the exhibits from president Law are tender roasted pork, tempting abalones, fresh broccoli, hot buns, crispy biscuits and crunchy peanuts exquisitely handmade by master craftsmen. You may not know they are not edible until you are told.
Show date: 27 November 2020 - 2 January 2021
Venue: Loupe, PMQ, Sheung Wan
Free admission
