Alrosa’s revenue from rough and polished diamonds sales in November reached the highest level since the beginning of 2020 at US$390.5 million.
The total rough and polished diamond sales stand US$2,280 million, including US$2,182 million from rough diamond and US$98.4 million of polished for the 11 months of 2020. January and November noted the strongest sale result throughout the time. April to July saw the Russian miner’s worst performance.
“Demand for rough diamonds from our key clients in November remained strong enough as they bring their stocks to the normal levels amid the seasonal growth in demand for diamond jewellery in the USA and China. “High season” of Christmas and New Year sales traditionally supports the market towards the end of the year,” said Evgeny Agureev, Alrosa deputy CEO.
