Industry veteran Kent Wong, managing director of Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group, has just won the executive award of the DHL/SCMP Hong Kong Business Awards 2020.
With over four decades of rich experience in the jewellery industry, Wong has transformed one of the world’s largest jewellery groups into an exciting, innovative and trendsetting industry leader, and expanded the brand’s global presence with over 4,000 points of sale.
At the virtual award presentation ceremony, Wong gave thanks to the trust and support from his respected mentors, board members, amazing staff team and business partners. “If it wasn’t for all of you, I wouldn’t be who I am today. I’d like to share this honour and joy with all of them,” he said.
When addressing the challenging year of 2020, he expressed confidence in riding out the storm and moving ahead with a united industry. “The development of the Greater Bay Area creates unprecedent opportunities to sustain our business. I believe the economy in the area will reach new height of success when innovation, technology and cooperation come into place. With my passion, I’d continue to make further contribution to foster the sustainable growth of the jewellery industry,” he added.
Established in 1990, the Hong Kong Business Awards aims to honour individuals and companies who maintain and expand the economic viability and international stature of the city.
