Singapore-based gemstone and jewellery e-marketplace Gembridge, which markets to offer transaction cost reductions of up to 70 percent, will launch in early 2021.
“The pandemic has accelerated the digital transformation of the global gemstones and jewellery industry, paving the way for pioneering solutions for trade,” said Gembridge chief experience officer, Mark Taylor.
The platform is leaded by Anthony Brooke, who has over four decades of experience in the gemstone industry. During the pre-launch phase in July 2020, 20 members from North America to Hong Kong were invited to use the platform and contribute to its final development, providing insights and feedback prior to the coming public launch.
Businesses has to be verified through an international KYC process and a peer review by Gembridge members. A filled listing form, certification reports and videos of the product are required for each listing. All items are verified by ICA GemLab and shipped its hubs in Bangkok, Geneva, and Bahrain.
