Hong Kong-based Tayma Fine Jewellery has introduced the spectacular ‘Aurora Australis’ earrings featuring a pair of enigmatic Australian opals from Lightning Ridge.
Each measuring 7 cm long with a total of over 40 carats, the two opals show exceptional green and blue play-of-colour. Paraiba tourmaline, indicolite tourmaline and diamonds were chosen to accent the arresting cold-colour palette of the piece. According to Tayma Page Allies, founder-cum-designer of the brand, the opals were mostly kept in their original form as a lightning bolt. The pear-shaped diamonds set on the upper part of the earrings brings an extra flash of radiance to the earlobes.
The designer unveiled the new ‘Aurora Australis’ earrings at a press preview last Wednesday at her showroom in Lan Kwai Fong, going through the storytelling production process with the attending journalist.
Founded in 1991, Tayma Fine Jewellery is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
