Tamara Comolli, founder of the namesake jewellery brand, has stepped down from the role as managing director and creative director since 31 May 2021. Retail professionals Tobias Marquardt and Sophia Friedl are now Tamara Comolli Fine Jewellery’s co-CEOs.
Comolli had been working with leading private equity firm in Europe Terra Firma since 2018 on the handover. “She prepared everything for the future success of the company and also for the 30th anniversary of the brand which will take place in 2022. For this special occasion, Tamara Comolli already prepared new designs, a great new campaign and a soon-to-be-launched brand book. The entire brand and product strategy is in place, including the year 2022,” Barbara Löfflmann, the brand’s PR and content manager told Hong Kong Jewellery.
“We will continue to pursue our unique positioning in the field of colourful gemstones and our approach to fine jewellery interpreting it in an effortless way,” she added.
Joined Tamara Comolli on 1 May 2021, Tobias Marquardt served as vice president at BestSecret/ Schustermann & Borenstien and managing director of E Breuninger. Sophia Friedl, who will join the company on 1 August 2021, has assumed various roles in luxury and fashion companies including Salvatore Ferragamo and Frey Wille.
