A necklace set with a heart-shaped 24.45-carat diamond was sold for US$2 million at Christie’s online jewellery sale during 4-18 August 2021, claiming the top lot of the sale.
Graded by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), the type IIa diamond is D colour, internally flawless, excellent polish and symmetry. The necklace is also set with a 1.37-carat D IF pear-shaped diamond with a pre-sale estimate of US$1.55 million to US$2.55 million.
