Jewelers of America (JA) reward Stephen Lussier, De Beers’ chairman, prestigious 2022 GEM Award for Lifetime Achievement for “his dedication to the diamond and jewellery industry over the course of his tenure.”
Lussier has been with De Beers since 1985. He is the chairman of De Beers and De Beers Forevermark as well as the EVP of De Beers’ brands & consumer markets. The winner also serves as chairman of the Natural Diamond Council (NDC) and as a board director of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC). “For over 40 years, Stephen Lussier has been at the heart of De Beers and diamond marketing worldwide,” JA noted in a press release.
The ceremony is scheduled to take place on 14 January 2022 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. The recipients of other GEM Awards categories will be announced.
