In its 9th edition this year, the charity auction gathered 53 one-off horological creations donated by 54 prestigious watchmakers to benefit research against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. A total of 850 people from 25 countries and regions were in attendance. Five masterpieces passed the one-million barrier were Patek Philippe (CHF9.5 million), F P Journe (CHF4.5 million), Audemars Piguet (CHF3.1 million), Richard Mille (CHF2.1 million), and De Bethune x Kari Voutilainen (CHF1.3 million).
“With this 9th Edition, Only Watch has reached another level. as the world emerges in the post-pandemic era, it is both humbling and gratifying to see how Only Watch’s message of hope, determination and confidence in the future has again resonated so strongly both with the community of watchmakers who contributed such masterpieces and the community of watch aficionados and generous donators who participated from around the world,” said Luc Pettavino, founder-cum-organiser of Only Watch, and president of the Association Monégasque contre les Myopathies (Monaco Association Against Muscular Dystrophy).
