According to the announcement by the Jewelry Group last month, a licensing agreement has been made by the Group and Karl Lagerfeld brand that two jewellery collections, one branded as Karl Lagerfeld and the other as Karl Lagerfeld Paris, will be rolled out and available for purchase in North America and key Asian markets. CEO of Karl Lagerfeld,Pier Paolo Righi said in a statement that, the collections “will allow us to further expand and develop Karl Lagerfeld’s accessory footprint into new geographies”. Fran Lukas, CEO of the Jewelry Group stated that the late designer was “one of the most celebrated and iconic names in fashion”. He looked forward to the business collaboration which he described as an “exciting endeavor” in an official statement.
The Karl Lagerfeld collection is expected to go on sale in March and reinterpret the unique style of the brandin crystal pavé, hematite, and a mix of glass and base metals. Karl Lagerfeld Paris collection is more perky and cheeky given the appearance of Choupette. It showcases the chic style and playfulness in high-shine metals and colorful enamel.
