Tiffany & Co recently launched Tiffany Lock, its first gender-neutral bangle collection, with “No rules. All welcome” as its tagline.
The new collection is inspired by the importance of connection and shared experiences and features the brand’s iconic padlock motif which was first introduced in the late 19th century and later developed into key rings, money clips and more. The mechanism that opens the lock is with an engineering feature - the clasp uses an innovative swivel that echoes the functionality of a padlock. It took Tiffany’s artisans more than a year to perfect the mechanism. The series offers streamlined bangles in 18K yellow, rose and white gold, solid and mixed, with diamond variations.
“Tiffany Lock is an elegant interpretation of an archival functional design,” said Alexandre Arnault, executive vice president of product and communication at Tiffany & Co, in a statement. “Defined by modern, clean lines and a breakthrough clasp mechanism, Tiffany Lock represents an exciting new pillar to our diamond and gold jewellery offering. We are thrilled to unveil our latest icon.”
Ranging from US$6,800 to US$32,000, four pieces from the collection are available at Tiffany’s online store, while additional styles will debut in the United States in September, followed by a release in Asia in January 2023.
