Antwerp-based company Diamaz International submitted two diamonds to the International Gemological Institute (IGI) recently. These diamonds were issued report as the largest, with highest colour and flawless man-made diamonds ever seen at the IGI Antwerp laboratory, according to Herman Brauner, co-founder and head of the IGI Laboratory. Both diamonds are over 1 carat and are certified as D colour, internally flawless, with triple-excellent cuts and no colour overtones or fluorescence.
Thierry Silber, CEO of Diamaz said that advanced high pressure & high temperature (HPHT) technology have made it possible for the company to be the first distributor of laboratory grown diamonds. The company is capable to provide D to F colour diamonds from one to three carats consistently to the market.
He also stated that these new laboratory grown diamonds are predicted to be desirable because the colourhave rarely been achieved without colour overtones.
