The Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), India, released its latest figures for its exports performance for gems and jewellery recently.
Gold bars and gold jewellery exports were valued at US$554.45 million, almost same as the same monthof 2013.
From April to December 2014, gold jewellery exports surged 37.45 percent year-on-year to US$7.6 billion.
Exports of coloured gemstones reached US$20.94 million last year, up 9.35 percent from 2013.
Exports of coloured gemstones registered a 37.72 percent decline to US$305 million from April to December last year, according to GJEPC.
Cut and polished diamond exports in December 2014 slipped 0.03 percent to US$1.45 billion during the period in review.
For the same period exports of cut and polished diamonds dropped 7.05 percent to US$17.32 billion from US$18.63 billion in 2013.
