The just-released Pantone’s Fashion Color Report Fall 2015 features top 10 colours that can be worn across men’s and women’s fashion. “It is the first time we are seeing a truly unisex colour palette,” says the colour authority.
“This season displays an umbrella of accord that weaves earthy neutrals with a range of bold colour statements and patterns to reflect a landscape of hope, fun, fantasy and all things natural,” according to Pantone. Fashion designers pay homage to progressive moments in American history, from the seductive ‘20s to the modernists of ‘70s.
A major distinction in the colours chosen for this season is that there is a grand shift towards an evolving colour pattern that is not reliant on colour distinctions typically assigned to each gender. “Designers look to sartorial styling and fabrics to define both a masculine and femine interperation of hues and colour combinations.”
Pantone’s top 10 colours for fall 2015 are Dried Herb, Desert Sage, Stormy Weather, Oak Buff, Marsala, Biscay Bay, Reflecting Pond, Cadmium Orange, Cashmere Rose and Amethyst Orchid.
