LVMH Reshuffles Management at Watch Division

LVMH has announced significant executive appointments recently within its watch division, effective as of September 1, 2024.

Julien Tornare, currently the CEO of TAG Heuer, has been named CEO of Hublot. He will succeed Ricardo Guadalupe, who has served as CEO of Hublot since 2012, and has decided to step back from operational management. He will transition to the role of honorary president of Hublot. Tornare has been working in the watchmaking industry for 26 years, including executive posts at Vacheron Constantin and Zenith.

Ricardo Guadalupe’s illustrious career began as a product manager at Bulgari horlogerie. He later joined Blancpain alongside Jean-Claude Biver, moving to Hublot with Biver in 2004. The launch of the Big Bang in 2005 was a pivotal moment, leading to spectacular growth for Hublot. Guadalupe joined LVMH in 2008 during the acquisition of Hublot by the group and was appointed CEO of Hublot in 2012.

Antoine Pin, currently the general manager of Bulgari Horlogerie, will replace Julien Tornare as CEO of TAG Heuer. Pin began his career at TAG Heuer in 1994 and has held various management positions within LVMH Watches & Jewelry UK, TAG Heuer Japan and Korea, and Bulgari Greater China and Australia, before being promoted to EVP of Berluti. His return to TAG Heuer as CEO is a significant milestone, marking a new era for the brand.

These leadership changes follow Frédéric Arnault’s appointment as CEO of LVMH’s watch division earlier this year. Arnault, at 28, is the second-youngest of chairman Bernard Arnault’s five children and has been leading TAG Heuer since 2020.

"I am delighted about Julien Tornare arrival at the head of Hublot, which marks the beginning of a new chapter dedicated to the future of our maison and the strengthening of its unique position among leading watch brands,” said Frédéric Arnault. He also welcomed Antoine Pin into the watch division at TAG Heuer. His extensive international experience, expertise, and well-recognised passion for watches will be major assets in continuing TAG Heuer’s growth and elevation, he added.
