The 4th International Jewellery Design Excellence Award 2015 held by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council announced results on March 5 during the 32nd Hong Kong International Jewellery Show. Around 200 previous champions in jewellery design competitions from 31 countries and regions participated in this competition to compete for the ultimate award.
Russian designer Timofey Teplinskiy won the ‘Champion of the Champions’ and Aesthetic Award with the Existence ring. German designer Michael Weggenmann’s Empire Ring received the Craftsmanship Award. The Innovative and Uniqueness in Design Award went to Motion necklace by Fung Yin Ling from Hong Kong.
The judging panel was formed by professionals and celebrities including Lawrence Ma, Chairman of HKTDC Hong Kong International Jewellery Show 2015 Fair Organising Committee Hong Kong, Barney Cheng, Couture Designer of Yenrabi Ltd, Roberto Coin, President of Roberto Coin S.P.A., actress Carina Lau, Louisa Lo, Associate Director of Client Advisory, Christie’s China, Sarah Seiver, Head of Buying and Brand Development, Victoria and Albert Museum and Juliet Weir-de la Rouchefoucauld, author of ‘21st Century Jewellery Designers – An Inspired Style’.
