Aaron Shum Jewelry’s signature brand CORONET partnered with Chow Tai Fook and Gibson Brands to create the CORONET® Diamond Gibson Guitar. Adorned with over 400 carat diamonds set in approximately 1.6kg of 18-karat 750 gold and valued at USD$2 million, it was verified by a Guinness World Records adjudicator to be the most valuable guitar.
The launching ceremony of the CORONET® Diamond Guitar was held on 20 March 2015 during Baselworld at the brand’s stand in Hall 1. It was also the first brand from Hong Kong to enter Hall 1 in Baselworld, which houses only renowned global brands such as Graff, Dior and Hermes.
The first CORONET® Diamond Guitar, named ‘Eden of CORONET®’, was designed by Hong Kong composer Mark Lui who initiated the creative project. The masterpiece took a team of 68 people to produce, adding up to 700 man-days to finish.
Following the launching ceremony, Chow Tai Fook will schedule a tour exhibition of the CORONET® Diamond Guitar in major cities in Greater China. The two jewellery brands are also planning further cooperation to create special collections based on the theme of the showpiece.
