The Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI) will bring a total of 67 companies to the June Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair, 25-28 June, under the Israel Diamond Pavilion located in the diamond area in Hall 3B, 3C and Concourse. Already in service, the ‘Find Your Diamond’ system (www.findyourdiamond.net) facilitates searches of all Israeli exhibitors’ offerings at the show.
Three ‘Find Your Diamond’ units will be located in the Israel pavilion’s central lounge.
According to IDI, Asia is Israel’s second largest market for polished diamonds representing about 35 percent of total polished diamond exports, with the greatest share going to Hong Kong. Last year Israel’s polished diamond exports to Hong Kong totaled US$1.8 billion. China, India, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan and Japan are also Israel’s major markets in Asia.
IDI organises national diamond pavilions at four jewellery shows in Hong Kong in March, June, September and November every year. “Asian markets, and especially Hong Kong, are very important targets for our industry,” said IDI’s managing director Eli Avidar. “We have invested great efforts at making Israeli diamantaries accessible to buyers, The Find Your Diamond feature has proven to be a real winner for both buyers and exhibitors,” he added.
