The September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair opens its raw materials section at Asia-World Expo (AWE) today. The finished jewellery section will open on 18 September at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). In its 33rd edition this year, the show features a record number of 3,752 exhibitors from 50 countries and regions, said show organiser UBM Asia who expects to receive about 60,000 global buyers.
According to UBM Asia, the AWE venue is housing the world’s largest diamond pavilion with 455 exhibitors, and Asia’s largest gemstone marketplace with 762 companies participating. World’s leading diamond suppliers Alrosa from Russia will hosts a diamond auction from 16 to 20 September.
Highlights at HKCEC include a new Bridal Jewellery Pavilion, the Designer Arena with over 50 international designers, the South Africa Pavilion (also at AWE), the Hong Kong Premier Pavilion, the International Premier Pavilion, Fine Design Pavilion, Fine Gem Pavilion, etc.
