The Important Jewels sale held by Sotheby’s New York on 24-25 September 2015 fetched a total of US$18,400,000. An emerald-cut F colour diamond of 30.15 carats sold for US$2,590,000 was the top lot in the auction. Among the highlights in the Estate of Dolores Sherwood Bosshard was the sapphire and diamond bow brooch by Van Cleef & Arpels, 1937 which achieved US$162,500. The Bosshard Estate brought $2.3 million overall, nearly double the presale high estimate, said the auction house.
