Sotheby’s will headline Blue Moon, a 12.03 carat fancy vivid blue IF diamond, at its Geneva auction dated 11 November 2015. The stone is estimated at CHF34,000,000-53,500,000 (US$35,000,000-55,000,000).
Blue Moon is the largest cushion-shaped fancy vivid blue diamond ever to appear at auction, said the auction house.
Other highlights include a Burmese ruby and diamond ring formerly processed by Queen Marie-José of Italy (1906-2001), a ring set with a fancy vivid purple-pink diamond of 8.24 carat, a Harry Winston emerald and diamond necklace from the estate of Dolores Sherwood Bosshard, etc.
