Organised by the Hong Kong Jewelry Manufacturers’ Association (HKJMA), Miss Jewelry Hong Kong 2015’s final was held on 26 November 2015, the first day of the Hong Kong International Jewelry Manufacturers’ Show.
Li Sha Ho was crowned champion of Miss Jewelry Hong Kong. The 1st and 2nd runner-up went respectively to Fion Hui and Fanny Ng, who also won the ‘My Favourite Miss Jewelry’ title by public vote. The judging panel of the contest included local celebrities and industry representatives. Shih Ching Hsien, chairman of the event’s organising committee said the pageant provides jewellery makers in Hong Kong with a good opportunity to promote their specialties. Since 2010, Miss Jewelry Hong Kong has been held to deepen the public understanding of the local jewellery industry, and to promote the excellence of the Hong Kong’s jewellery to the world.
Concurrently held with the pageant were HKJMA’s 27th annual dinner and the inauguration of the association’s 14th executive director committee. Adam Lau was re-elected chairman.
The four-day jewellery show, housed 1,154 booths with over 730 exhibitors from 21 countries and regions, recorded a total number of over 30,000 visitors, according to HKJMA. On the second show day an inaugural networking reception was held to establish a communicative platform for industry members to share their experiences and information. Other show features included the JMA International Jewelry Design Competition 2015 award presentation and educational seminars on branding, design trends and gemstone knowledge.
