The UBM Jewellery & Gem Fair Group, with a total of 19 trade shows in nine countries currently, is launching the first international sourcing fair in Freiburg, Germany, from 1 to 4 April 2014.
“Freiburg is conveniently located in the epicenter of major industry cities with its German borders neighboring France and Switzerland. The city is easily accessible to Antwerp, Paris, Basel and Geneva,” explains Celine Lau, director of jewellery fairs, UBM Asia.
Freiburg holds century old tradition in the industries of jewellery and precious metals. “Freiburg is a jewel in the international exhibition scene,” said Celine Lau. “There are nice hotels and restaurants along with this jewellery sourcing platform.”
By this January, the show has been booked with 400 exhibitors from 30 countries and regions. The initial launch attracted 12 group pavilions from Antwerp, Colombia, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Italy, Mauritius, Russia, Turkey and the United States. The importance of Jewellery & Gem Fair Europe is also strengthened by support of Freiburg city, with the Lord Mayor personally opening the fair.
