Swiss watchmaker Baume & Mercier has opened a pop-up store in Hong Kong celebrating the time-honoured partnership with Carroll Shelby, the legendary American race car builder.
Staying between 1 and 20 July 2016 at Fashion Walk, Causeway Bay, the first Baume & Mercier pop-up store in the city showcases the heritage of quality precision engineering and the unfaltering pursuit of dreams shared by the two masters.
The shop spans a floor area of 2,000 square feet. Clad in black and yellow, the space is the epitome of the style of the watchmaking house. A 1990’s Shelby Cobra in yellow is featured prominently in the store. The brand will host ‘The Capeland Cup’ competition during the pop-up store opening period, all guests are welcome to join and a piece of Capeland Shelby® Cobra limited edition chronograph will be awarded to the winner of the game.
The store will also present a preview of four latest Baume & Mercier Capeland Shelby® Cobra 1963 ‘Legendary Drivers Edition’ models. Each of the four one-of-a-kind chronographs features at 9 o’clock on the dial the racing number of the CSX2128’s four great racers: ‘15’ represents Dan Gurney, ‘50’ Ken Miles, ‘97’ Dave McDonald, and ‘96’ Allen Grant.
