Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA) announced that the inaugural Thailand Gems & Jewelry Fair that was scheduled for 7-11 September 2016 will be postponed.
“Due to a dispute that had risen regarding the organization venue, the TGJTA is unable to secure the necessary space to organise the fair during the stated timeframe. We had hoped to resolve the issue by now but unfortunately, despite our full efforts we regretfully were unable to within the necessary timeframe, despite our full readiness and preparations,” said the organiser.
TGJTA now shifts their full focus to begin planning and secure another exhibition venue to prepare to organise the Thailand Gems & Jewelry Fair in 2017 instead. They are confident that this move will ensure greater benefits and a much better fair for the Thai gem and jewellery industry.
TGJTA members who had paid deposits for advanced reservations could be refunded by contacting TGJTA during office hours from 1 August 2016. Further update regarding the date and location of the fair organisation will be informed later.
