Colour trendsetting authority Pantone has recently selected Greenery (PANTONE 15-0343), a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade, as the Color of the Year for 2017.
“Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous social and political environment. Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalize, Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of Pantone.
Greenery is a versatile “trans-seasonal” colour that lends itself to many colour combinations, pairing well with neutral, bright, deeper, pastel, metallic colours, according to Pantone.
Pantone’s Color of the Year is a symbolic colour selection that serves as an expression of a mood and an attitude of the year. The 2016 selection was Rose Quartz and Serenity.
